If you plan a lot of sessions, the mouse starts to feel slow. The command palette lets you jump anywhere in Planner.coach with a single keystroke -- open a session by name, start a new activity, switch workspaces, or ask the AI coach a question, all without leaving the keyboard.
It's available on every plan (Free, Pro, and Club) and on every page once you're signed in.
Opening the palette
Press Cmd+K on a Mac or Ctrl+K on Windows or Linux. The palette pops up over whatever page you're on. Press the same shortcut again, or hit Escape, to close it.
Start typing to filter the list. The search is fuzzy, so "ses war" will find your "Saturday warm-up" session. Use the arrow keys to move through results and press Enter to run the highlighted item.
What's in the palette
Results are grouped so you can scan quickly. Groups appear in this order:
- Create -- new session, new activity, new athlete, new training program.
- Go to -- Dashboard, Calendar, Sessions, Activities, Athletes, Lists, Training Programs, AI Coach.
- Sessions, Athletes, Activities, Programs -- your most recent items in the current workspace. Selecting one opens it.
- AI Coach -- Open coach panel, or Ask the coach a question... to open the panel with a fresh prompt ready.
- Settings -- Settings, Plan & Billing, Team settings (when you're in a team workspace), workspace switching, and Log out.
The palette pulls up to 500 of your most recent sessions, athletes, activities, and programs from your active workspace, so it's fast even with a large library.
Switching workspaces
If you're on Club and juggle a personal workspace alongside one or more teams, the palette is the quickest way to jump between them. Open it and type the team name -- you'll see a Switch to entry under Settings. From a team workspace, Switch to personal workspace brings you home. No need to hunt for the team switcher in the sidebar.
A note on athlete search
Athlete results in the palette match on name only. Date of birth, medical notes, contact details, and other sensitive fields are deliberately excluded -- those are encrypted at rest and shouldn't surface in a global search box. If you need to look an athlete up by anything other than their name, go to Athletes in the sidebar and use the filters there.
Tips for power users
- If a result group is long, keep typing -- the fuzzy match narrows it fast.
- The palette respects your current workspace. Search in your personal workspace and you'll only see personal items; switch to a team and you'll see that team's items.
- Admins see an extra Admin panel entry under Settings. Everyone else won't.
- The palette and the search bar on the public
/docssite are separate things. Inside the app, Cmd/Ctrl-K opens the palette; on docs pages, the search bar at the top searches the knowledge base.
Next steps
- Try it from the dashboard -- press Cmd/Ctrl-K and type "new session".
- Pair it with the AI assistant by selecting Ask the coach a question... and going straight into a prompt.
