Planner.coach now supports **multi-user teams**, letting you invite your coaching staff into a shared workspace. Create a team, assign roles, and collaborate on sessions, drills, and athlete data — all from one place.

Whether you run a club with multiple age-group coaches or a school program with assistants who help run practice, teams keep everyone on the same page without duplicating work.

## Why It Matters

Coaching is rarely a solo effort. You have assistant coaches running stations, specialists working with position groups, and support staff tracking athlete progress. Until now, each coach had their own isolated workspace — meaning shared drills lived in group chats and session plans got copy-pasted between accounts.

With teams, your entire staff works from the same library of [sessions](/features/session-builder), [drills](/features/drill-designer), and [athlete profiles](/features/athlete-management). When one coach updates a drill diagram, everyone sees it. When an athlete's measurements are recorded, the whole staff has access.

## How to Use It

### Create a Team

Navigate to **Team Settings** from the sidebar. Give your team a name, select your sport, and you're ready to invite members. Teams are available on the **Club** plan.

### Invite Your Staff

Send email invitations directly from the team settings page. Each invite includes a role assignment so new members get the right level of access from day one. Invitees who don't have an account yet will be guided through signup and automatically added to your team.

### Assign Roles

Teams support five roles, each with a clear level of access:

- **Owner** — Full control including billing and team management
- **Admin** — Manage members and all team data
- **Coach** — Create, edit, and delete team content
- **Assistant** — View everything, edit only their own items
- **Viewer** — Read-only access to all team data

### Switch Between Personal and Team

The team switcher in the sidebar lets you move between your personal workspace and any team you belong to. Your personal content stays private — only data created within the team context is shared.

### AI Credits

When working in a team context, [AI coaching assistant](/features/ai-coaching-assistant) credits are drawn from the team owner's pool.

Planner.coach now lets you **track attendance for every session**. Mark each athlete as present, late, absent, injured, or excused — then see attendance rates on athlete profiles, group dashboards, and inside the AI coach.

The attendance panel appears on every session detail page. If you've linked an athlete group to the session, the roster auto-populates so you can start marking with one tap.

## Why It Matters

Knowing who turns up to training is one of the most basic — and most useful — data points a coach can track. Attendance trends tell you who's committed, who might be burning out, and which athletes need catch-up work after missing sessions.

Until now, tracking this meant a clipboard or a spreadsheet that lived outside your coaching workflow. With attendance built directly into your session pages, the data stays connected to the rest of your planning and shows up where you need it.

## How to Use It

### Mark Attendance

Open any session and scroll to the **Attendance** panel. You'll see your roster with five status options per athlete:

- **Present** — at training
- **Late** — arrived after the start
- **Absent** — didn't attend
- **Injured** — unable to participate
- **Excused** — pre-arranged absence

Use **Mark all present** to quickly fill in the roster, then adjust individual athletes as needed. You can also add notes to any attendance record — useful for recording injury details or reasons for absence.

### Auto-Roster from Athlete Groups

If your session belongs to a session group that's linked to an [athlete group](/features/athlete-management), the roster is populated automatically. No need to add athletes one by one.

You can still add individual athletes or pull in an entire group manually using the **Add athlete** button.

### View Attendance Rates

Head to any athlete's profile to see their attendance card with an **all-time** and **last 30 days** toggle. The card breaks down their record across all five statuses.

On athlete group pages, you'll find a group-level summary showing the **average attendance rate** across all members.

### AI Coach Integration

The [AI coaching assistant](/features/ai-coaching-assistant) has access to attendance data. Ask it about an athlete's participation and it can factor attendance trends into its recommendations — like suggesting modified drills for athletes returning from missed sessions, or flagging athletes whose attendance has dropped recently.

The calendar supports **weekly and monthly views**, giving you flexibility whether you're planning the next few practices or mapping out an entire season block.

## Why It Matters

Great coaching is about more than individual sessions — it's about how those sessions fit together over time. Until now, planning your training schedule meant juggling a separate calendar app alongside your session library. The new calendar view brings scheduling directly into your coaching workflow so you can see what's coming up, spot gaps in your plan, and adjust on the fly.

With **recurring events**, you can set your regular training slots once and have them appear automatically each week. Link a [session plan](/features/session-builder) to any event, and your drills and activities are ready to go when practice time arrives.

## How to Use It

### View Your Schedule

Navigate to **Calendar** from the sidebar. Toggle between **week** and **month** views using the controls at the top. Your configured week start day is respected automatically.

### Create Events

Click any empty day to create a new calendar event. Give it a title, set the time, and optionally make it recurring (daily, weekly, or custom). Events appear as colored pills on the calendar grid.

### Link Sessions to Events

Drag an existing session from the **unscheduled panel** onto a calendar date to schedule it. You can also link sessions directly to recurring events — so your Monday evening practice always has the right session plan attached.

### Manage Recurring Events

When you edit or delete a recurring event, you'll be asked whether to apply the change to just that occurrence, all future events, or the entire series. This gives you fine-grained control without disrupting your broader schedule.

### Season Phase Overlays

If you have an active [season plan](/features/session-builder), phase boundaries appear as overlays on the calendar, helping you see which training block you're in and when transitions are coming up.

## Ask the Coach

The [AI coaching assistant](/features/ai-coaching-assistant) is calendar-aware. Ask it about your upcoming schedule, and it can reference your events and sessions to help you prepare for the week ahead.

Every coach on Planner.coach can now create a **public profile page** at `planner.coach/coach/your-username`. Your profile is a dedicated space to showcase your coaching background, shared content, and expertise — all in one place.

Alongside profiles, we've added **visibility controls** for shared content. Sessions, drills, and training programs can now be marked as **public** (visible on your profile) or **unlisted** (accessible only via direct link). This gives you full control over what appears on your profile and what stays private.

## Why It Matters

Coaches pour hours into creating great sessions and drills. Until now, sharing that work meant sending individual links. Public profiles change that by giving you a single, shareable page where other coaches, parents, or club administrators can browse your content library.

Whether you're building your reputation in the coaching community or sharing resources with your club's staff, your profile page is a professional home base for your work.

## How to Use It

### Set Up Your Profile

1. Head to **Settings** in your dashboard
2. Choose a unique username — this becomes your profile URL
3. Add a display name and a short bio (up to 280 characters)
4. Toggle **Public Profile** on when you're ready to go live

### Share Your Content

When you share a session, activity, or training program, you'll now see a visibility option:

- **Public** — appears on your coach profile for anyone to discover
- **Unlisted** — only accessible to people with the direct link

Your profile page automatically displays all your public shared content, organized by type, along with stats like template imports and total shared items.

### Share Your Profile

Once your profile is live, share it anywhere. Your profile page includes quick-share buttons for X, Facebook, WhatsApp, and email — making it easy to spread the word.

The difference between a good practice and a great one is structure. Coaches who plan ahead see better athlete engagement, more efficient use of ice or court time, and faster skill development. But planning shouldn't eat into your coaching time.

Here's how to build an effective session in 10 minutes flat.

## Step 1: Define Your Session Goal

Every practice should have a single, clear objective. Are you working on breakout plays? Defensive positioning? Passing accuracy?

Write it down in one sentence. This becomes your north star for every drill you select.

## Step 2: Choose a Session Structure

Most effective practices follow a three-phase structure:

### Warm-Up (10-15 minutes)
Start with dynamic movements that prepare athletes physically and mentally. Keep it engaging — nobody wants to skate laps.

### Main Block (30-40 minutes)
This is where your session goal lives. Pick 2-3 drills that progressively build the target skill. Start simple, then add complexity.

### Cool-Down & Review (5-10 minutes)
End with a low-intensity activity and a quick team huddle. Reinforce the key coaching points from the session.

## Step 3: Pick Your Drills

For each phase, select drills that match the session goal. Consider:

- **Skill level** — Match the drill complexity to your athletes
- **Group size** — Ensure everyone is active, not standing in line
- **Equipment** — Use what you have available
- **Progression** — Each drill should build on the previous one

## Step 4: Set Time Blocks

Assign specific durations to each drill. Be realistic — transitions between drills take time too. A good rule of thumb: add 2 minutes of buffer between each activity.

## Step 5: Write Coaching Points

For each drill, jot down 2-3 key coaching points you want to emphasize. These are the corrections and encouragements you'll call out during the activity.
